Navigation

More filter and search opportunities throughout the BI Tool!

As shown in Main Level Settings, there is a new search box, indicated by the orange outline, and filter option now available. As an example, to search for “Revenue,” enter a few letters, such as “reven” in the image below, to narrow the list to just those titles starting with “reven.” Further, filter the list by clicking on the Column Title header to prompt an ascending and descending arrow, to sort the list accordingly.

Reports

Drill down and create Pivot Reports.

This new functionality enables the ability to click a field and open a Pivot Report called “Details.” Use this ability when using a BI Tool Component that utilizes Pivot field settings, such as BI Tool Matrix, BI Tool Top List, or BI Tool Chart. To use, simply click a field in one of these reports to open the Privot Report. The Pivot “Details” report is a report that lists the data and related information used to find the data in the field clicked.  As an example, the report below is report that has Matrix set under BI Tool Properties > BI Tool Components. Clicking the indicated field opens the Pivot report, “Details.”

Report Listing

Expand All/Collapse All has been added to the Report Listing.

Click the arrows next to “Public Reports,” “My Reports,” or folders to see all the contents within that section or close the section. In the image below, “Dashboards” does not have its contents listed. To list them all, click the Expand All icon to do so. Likewise, “Customer Service” has the report within it listed, so click the Collapse All arrow to just list the folder name.

Data Sources

“Boolean” Types are now working correctly.

The use of “Customization” and/or “Filters” with a Type of “Boolean” and Format of “Yes/No” are now working properly.

To better illustrate this fix, notice some Column Titles within Customization have a Type of “Boolean. “Boolean” have a format of “Yes/No.”

Then, when those Column Titles were used within Filters, setting an option and clicking “Filter” would result in the message “NO DATA TYPE,” which was not the proper result. With this fix, the screen now properly allows the ability to set the “Is True” or “Is False” checkbox and apply that filter to the report.
