Description

Name

Enter the name of the port that will display within the Origin Port field within the various fields within Shipping Information (up to 128 characters).

Port Code

Enter the identification number for the port (up to 15 characters).

Transportation Type

Select a type as either Air or Sea depending on the transportation method of shipments to and from the port.

Inactive

Checking this flag marks this record as inactive and no longer selectable within the Shipping Information tab.

NOTE: To view inactive records within this setup, choose the Show All Item from the items menu available through the  button in the upper righthand corner of the screen.

Country

Choose from the dropdown the country of the port.

Interface Item

Use this section to link records to an external system that may require a Port Code for exchanging data between disparate systems.

NOT IN USE: Reference Only

To support the UniGroup International Interface, verify that all External Code references are established for each port for the UniGroup International interface. You can run a script titled InternationalPorts.sql that verifies that all Port Code values supported by UniGroup International are available. This script is available through the upgrade process.

Interface

Select a value from the list defined within XML Interface Setup. 

External Code

Enter a code supported by the Interface for exchanging data with MoversSuite (up to 32 characters).
