MoversSuite Administration > Accounting and Financial Services > Allocation Master
Allocation Master Setup is comprised of defining master and detail allocation records that will automatically generate allocations for transactions in Revenue Entry.
The system retrieves allocation records based on the Revenue Group of the transaction and the Type of Move assigned to the order. The detail records comprise the specific percentages available for the master record based on agency participation on the order. The detail records also link to Item Codes for transaction processing.
Important |
For the application to compute the allocation automatically, the application must match on Revenue Group, Move Type Group, and Agent Type (associated to the detail record). |
Reference the data in the following table when managing setup records.
Note |
The system computes the name of each Allocation Master record by combining the Revenue Group and Move Type Group values. |
Field |
Description |
Allocation Master |
|
Revenue Group |
Select a value from the list defined in Revenue Group Setup. The system matches this value to what is entered for the Revenue Group field set through Add Revenue Group in Revenue Entry. |
Move Type Group |
Select a group from the list of those defined in Move Type Group Setup. This setting instructs the application to compare the Type of Move set for the order (in Move Information) and uses this along with the Revenue Group to determine which allocations are available. |
Allocation Detail |
|
Define the percentage rates for each for each combination of Agent Type and Item Code. A record must be defined for each combination of Agent type and Item Code in order for the application to compute the allocation automatically. | |
Percentage |
Enter the percent value of the invoice amount at the Revenue Group level allocated to the Item Code (in NN.NN format, e.g. “25.50” to represent 25.5% allocation). Refer to Add Revenue Group for more information on the Invoice Amount. |
Agent Type |
Select the participating agent that will receive the allocation as one of the following: Hauling Agent The system compares the Agent Type to the agents set within the Agents tab. The corresponding agent must be a Sister Agent of the company to effect auto allocations; a Sister Agent is the Agent set for the Branch of the order (see Branch Setup). |
Item Code |
Select the appropriate Item Code from the list to link the record to values needed when generating transactions using this allocation record. If the Revenue Group associated to the Allocation Master record contains Item Codes, then the code entered here must match that defined for the group in Revenue Group Setup, i.e. the selected Item Code must belong to the Revenue Group that is associated to the Allocation Master Setup record of this detail record. The Item Code description will be the default title on all allocation records. See Item Code Setup for more information on item codes. |
