Change Tasks on Single Order

 

This is for when you need to reassign tasks on a specific order. This can be accomplished by reassigning the tasks specifically or by changing the person’s role on the order. Like Change Tasks on Multiple Orders, the most reliable way to reassign tasks is by role. A detail on how to change specific tasks is also given below.

 

To reassign tasks by role on a single order:

Before you begin…

      Make sure you the person being reassigned the task has the same role, permissions and has the same branch access.

      Only tasks that have not been completed can be updated or changed.  

 

1.

Order Information Module

Find the order in the Order Information Module.

2.

Appropriate Tab > Role Dropdown

To change the role, determine which role is being reassigned (*).

Many of the main task roles are listed below as well as the tab where they are located. Find the appropriate role and go to the corresponding tab. Find the role dropdown on that tab.

* If you do not know the role of the person whose tasks are being reassigned, go to the Billing Information tab and click Order Personnel to find a list of all personnel and their roles on the order.

3.

Reassign

Change the person assigned to the role by using the dropdown to choose another person.

4.

Save

Press Save.

 

To reassign tasks by role on the single order:

Order > Tasks

Locate the Order and click the Tasks tab.

2.

Highlight

Click task(s) that need to be reassigned by simply clicking on a task to highlight.

If more than one task is needed, click a task + hold Ctrl + click all other tasks needed to be highlighted. See Keyboard Shortcuts for additional tips.

3.

Edit Task

Press Edit Task.

4.

User Dropdown

Use the dropdown for User to scroll to new person’s name that is the new person responsible for the task(s). 

5.

Save

Click Save.

 

Additionally, you may reassign tasks based on role for a specific Account Profile. This method is helpful if, for example, you need to reassign the salesperson role from one salesperson to another permanently for an Account Profile.

Toolbar > Tools > Administration

From the toolbar, click Tools. Choose Administration.

2.

Customer Service > Choose Account

Click Customer Service, open Account Profile and choose the appropriate profile record.

3.

Order Defaults

Click on the Order Defaults tab.

4.

Role Dropdown

Assign new personnel under Salesperson, Revenue Clerk, Transportation Coordinator and/or the Logistics Coordinator.

5.

Save

Press Save.
