Use this setup to map Item Codes to a Tax Code provided by Avalara. The Tax Code provides special instructions to Avalara to assist in accurate tax amount computations.

When revenue is created that links to an Item Code listed within an Avalara Tax Code Setup record, then the Tax Code is also included with the information sent to Avalara. An Item Code can only link to one Avalara Tax Code Setup record.
You can specify a Default Sales Tax Code and link it to the Avalara Interface Setup record. If no default is specified, then the application retrieves the Tax Code based on the Item Code, which can exist in any defined Avalara Tax Code Setup record.
To use this setup, enter the Tax Code Description and the Tax Code provided by Avalara.
Include Revenue Groups on the left and individual Item Codes on the right. You can customize the configuration to suit your needs. Select the group on the left and then choose Item Codes individually on the right. Utilize the Select All and Clear All options on either side to automatically check or uncheck all items.

Provide the Tax Code supported by Avalara for a specific classification of Item Codes (up to 25 characters). This code is passed along to Avalara to assist in computing the tax amount. |

Mapping |
Associate Item Codes by selecting Revenue Groups on the left and individual Item Codes on the right. Utilize the Select All and Clear All options on either side to check or uncheck all items within the pane. The application matches the Item Code of the revenue item to what is available within this code and if there is a match, the Tax Code is included along with the sales tax information to Avalara. The Revenue Groups available are those defined within Revenue Group Setup. Item Codes are defined within Item Code Setup. |
