User Enhancement Voting

uservoicesnip1

For those of you who attended our User Conference last October, you’ll recall that we discussed the concept of setting up a system to allow our users to enter enhancements via a website and then allow voting on each of the enhancements.

Last week we sent an email invitation out to all of our customers’ primary contacts notifying them of the User Enhancement Voting site being made active for the Fall 2009 release planning. This system is built on UserVoice, a product made specifically for this need and constructed to be very easy to use and understand. This also offers a better form of interaction, as we can offer our comments, questions and suggestions on each request, and the dialog is made public for all to benefit from.

Given the feedback at the user conference the following rules will apply to the voting:

  • The enhancements will be gathered for one release and voted on. Upon a new release, the list of enhancement requests will be cleared out and we’ll start fresh.
  • The number of votes each company receives is based on the number of MoversSuite and GP licenses that company owns.
  • We’ll close the voting session after 30 days to allow the development to begin in enough time to work on the enhancement requests for the given release cycle.
  • All enhancement requests must be entered through this site to be considered. You’ll still use the support system for logging bugs and support requests.

The system is locked down so that we can control how many votes each customer receives. Each primary contact on your account has been notified of the number of votes and how many logins they get to use the system.

Many of you have already begun to interact with the system, enter enhancements, and some have even begun voting. Thank you for the feedback and let’s keep up the interactive discussions to continue to improve the product.

The last day of voting for the Fall 2009 release is May 22nd, so get out there and vote!
