Local Service Information API Setup

 

This section describes the general MoversSuite requriments necessary to make successful calls using the Local Service Inquiry Request.

 

STEP 1: Enable MSCrew Functionality

 

Refer to the MSCrew Setup and Administration topic for information on enabling MSCrew functionality. At a minimum, your company must be setup in MoversConnect and you must have a Company ID provided to you by EWS Group.

 

STEP 2: Add Third Party Personnel Record

 

For each third-party entity that you wish to process calls for through the Local Service Information API, establish a Personnel Setup record with the following attributes:

 

General tab

 

Last Name

Required field. Can be any value.

Employee Number

Required field. Can be any value.

Status

Set to “ACTIVE”

Labor Type Item

Required field. Can be any value. We suggest setting this to a type that is not available to Long Distance Dispatch or Local Dispatch, so that this record does not appear in drop down menus, such as the “Web User” type.

Branch Item

Set the branches that you wish to access Local Services records for.

Mobile User tab

 

User ID

Set the credentials you wish this entity to use to authenticate with when making Local Service Information API Requests, along with the Company ID.

Mobile User Type

Set to “MSCrew”

 

STEP 3: Create Requests and Test

 

Build request while referencing the Local Service Inquiry Request and Local Service Information API Content information. Test functionality using direct calls to MoversConnect, i.e.
