Half Month Prorating

If the Half Month is selected, then charges would include the full monthly amount or one-half the monthly charge depending on when the storage begins or ends.  For example, if a calendar billing cycle is in effect then the following rules would apply:

HALF the monthly amount is charged when:

Storage begins after the 15^th

Storage ends on or before the 15^th

FULL monthly amount will be charged when:

Storage begins on or before the 15^th

Storage ends after the 15^th

The scenarios above assume that the billing cycle begins and ends on a calendar basis (i.e. the 1^st of the month).  If a billing cycle is monthly and does not coincide with the calendar (i.e. billing cycle begins on the 5^th of the month instead of the 1^st), then the half-month prorating cut-off date would be the 19th of the month (14 days later).   In such a case, the two, half month periods would be the 5th to the 19th and the 20th to the 4th of the following month.
