Advanced Rating allows your company to compute rates based on order data that includes the following fields:
§ Cubic Feet
§ Fuel Cost
§ Linear Feet
§ Miles
§ Weight
Any combination of the above fields can be utilized by the Rate Matrix to compute a rate based one or two order elements, such as miles and weight.
Miles and 100-Weight Rate Types
In addition to the Rate Matrix, you can instruct the application to compute a rate based on the weight or the miles of the order. The application recognizes the Rate Type of “Miles” associated to a Rate (in a Rate Plan) and automatically retrieves the Miles set for the order through the Move Information tab or through the Billing Information (Revenue Entry) tab and computes the amount.
For example, if you have a Rate of $0.65 per mile that is rated on Miles (see Figure 4), and the order lists 500 miles for the request (See Figure 5), then the application would automatically compute a rated amount of $325.00.

Figure 5: Rating Information within Add Revenue Item
The application works in a similar fashion when the Rate Type is “100-Weight.” Under this rating type, the application references the weight set for the order.
Since there are multiple weight-assigned fields in MoversSuite, the application checks each of the following in the order in which they list.
§ Billed Weight
§ Hauled Weight
§ Estimated Weight (only on Quote and Local Services revenue imported into Revenue Entry)
For example, if the Billed Weight is not set, then the application checks the Hauled Weight field.
Refer to the Rate Type Setup for more information on this type of Advanced Rating.
